Hydrazine Deaeration Dosing
How the System Works
Dissolved oxygen in boiler feed-water causes pitting and tube failure. Hydrazine (or safer alternatives such as carbohydrazide and DEHA) reacts with oxygen to form harmless nitrogen and water. A dosing system trims the scavenger feed to the measured dissolved-oxygen level, protecting boilers and steam systems while minimising chemical use.
